Fundamental rethink needed for Scotland’s approach to land development

Working in partnership with the Scottish Land Commission, we have today published our Enabling Infrastructure discussion document, that makes a series of recommendations about the type of planning system and tools we need to ensure the more efficient and effective delivery of infrastructure in Scotland.

This builds upon an Infrastructure First approach and includes a detailed consideration of the very topical subject of land value uplift capture.

The report, as everyone at SFT does, recognises the importance of infrastructure to Scotland’s future success and how it drives inclusive growth and touches on how we all live our lives.
