Peter

Peter Reekie

Chief Executive

Peter has worked across the private and public sectors as a civil engineer, an infrastructure financier, and an advisor with one of the world’s leading professional services firms.

He joined SFT in 2008 when it was established by Scottish Government as a centre of infrastructure expertise and became its chief executive in 2018.

Peter leads SFT’s work encompassing long-term strategy development across infrastructure sectors, structuring and managing multi-billion-pound investment programmes and making the best use of existing assets in the transition to a net zero economy.

Peter is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.

Kerry

Kerry Alexander

Director, Infrastructure Finance and Programmes

As Director, Infrastructure Finance and Programmes, Kerry leads SFT’s work on the design and delivery of new investment approaches using public funding and financing levers, as well as new commercial structures. 

This work draws in private sector investment to deliver the infrastructure Scotland needs for its transition to net zero.

Kerry joined SFT in 2012 from a professional services firm and is a chartered accountant with over 20 years' experience in public and private roles supporting infrastructure investment.

Colin

Colin Proctor

Director, Construction Industry and Delivery

Colin is Director, Construction Industry and Delivery. His areas of responsibility include improving project delivery and infrastructure technology. A Chartered Surveyor by profession, Colin most recently worked as a partner in a large international construction consultancy practice.

Colin has built up more than 30 years’ experience working in the construction and property development market advising on major projects and programmes across the UK and Ireland in a wide range of sectors.

Colin leads the following workstream areas:

Caroline

Caroline Whyteside

Director, Corporate Services and Investments

Caroline is Director, Corporate Services and Investments with responsibility for finance, HR, IT, communications, office management, data protection, procurement and SFTi, SFT's investment company. 

Caroline is a chartered accountant and has over 30 years' experience working both as a finance director and in senior corporate services roles across numerous sectors, including social housing, public sector infrastructure and local government.

Caroline leads on these areas:

  • Corporate Services - Legal, HR, IT, Communications, Finance and Office Management
Tony

Tony Rose

Director, Strategy, Place and Economy

Tony has responsibility for SFT’s activity across infrastructure strategy, place and economy. He is an MBA with over 30 years’ experience advising both the public and private sectors on complex infrastructure projects in Scotland as well as in the rest of the UK and overseas. 

Prior to joining SFT he was a Director in the Infrastructure Finance team at a leading global advisory consultancy where he advised on the financial and commercial aspects of major infrastructure investments.
