hub delivers 'Best Building in Scotland'

On Tuesday 7 November 2017, the Dunfermline Carnegie Library & Galleries, designed by Richard Murphy Architects and delivered by hub East Central was crowned 'Best Building in Scotland' after picking up the Andrew Doolan award from the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland.

Of the 12 buildings shortlisted for the Doolan award, five had been delivered through a number of programmes managed by the Scottish Futures Trust:

  • City of Glasgow College (City Campus) – NPD programme
  • Dunfermline Carnegie Library and Galleries – hub East Central
  • Eastwood Health Centre – hub West
  • James Gillespie’s Campus – hub South East and Scotland’s School for the Future
  • Glendale Primary School – Scotland’s Schools for the Future

Culture Secretary Fiona Hyslop, said: "The quality of the winner and of all the shortlisted projects illustrate that we are building a future heritage in Scotland that we can truly be proud of."
